Character's Name: Matthew Williams
Character's Country: Canada
Character's Age: 19
Character's Gender: Male
Character's Occupation: University student by day, computer hacker whenever.
Personality: Matthew Williams is generally a very kind soul towards those he knows, who he cares about. His heart goes out for those who are weak and those who generally are downtrodden as he was once. The boy has a strong sense of what’s wrong and right, the mind that tells him what’s wrong and what’s right. He, to some extent, can stand being ignored, taking it all in with a smile but there is a small part of him that will overtake his normally passive attitude and rip people to shreds, verbally.
Of course, there are times where he just wants to be noticed and not have to resort to murder to be noticed but most of the time, no one really does. He is very passive-aggressive and he does have times where he will just snap and yell at a certain person that makes him angry time to time. He has a snarky side that he shows time to time, especially to the person who gets him angry. Naturally lurking around the area, he finds himself overhearing things that were meant for other people and since no one seems to take notice of him, it makes it a lot easier to sneak around, spying on others. But, he tries not to since he considers it rude.
Quiet, he doesn’t speak up very often, keeping to himself most of the time. He doesn’t really voice his opinions to the others, usually going with the flow, usually agreeing with others unless it’s something that he really protests against, or vice versa, something he really stands for. He will try and have his voice heard above the crowd, above everyone else, but considering that he is very shy about what he says, it’s rare when he is heard.
Appearance:
Strengths:
One of the main traits of the boy, physical wise, is that he is able to blend with many a crowd, despite his more feminine traits, something that he dislikes being called.
Matthew is generally a very quiet person, he blends into the background easily and can overhear conversations that would normally be kept between two people. His personality also is one of those that put people at ease, seeing as in that he is naturally very kind. It makes it easier to maker friends. He has a penchant for the French language, using that to his advantage when he can, or just plain insulting people.
He, although he seems shy, will easily tear down an opponent with words if needed and if the situation also calls for it, he will use what he can to help his allies. He has a sense of loyalty towards those who do see him and is usually kind, nice towards those who are allied with him. He will not betray those who ally with him, unless dire in which he will promptly feel bad for some time. He, although he doesn’t look like it, also has a hidden strength in him, coming from all the years he played hockey against the other players and uses it when the situation calls for it.
Weaknesses:
It doesn’t help that he is actually rather kindhearted towards many people. He sees someone that is in need and will stretch out his hand to help them, no matter who it might be. He normally is very passive aggressive so he won’t speak out against what others say, unless it’s threatening to certain people. He will not betray others and is weighed down by a very heavy guilt when he does. He is invisible, not easily seen, which makes it hard for when he wants to get their attention above the crowds of people.
He seals much of what he feels deep inside of him and cares for others, maybe too much. He doesn’t like seeing people hurt and does what he can for them and because of that, he feels bad for hacking in the government. He is generally a very soft hearted soul and that is not exactly the best thing to have in such a place as he is in right now. He also, on a more practical note, is more prone to getting lost in areas he doesn’t know about.

History:
Matthew Williams, under the flags and the national anthem, was born, on the same day his country was born. When he was little, he always was proud of the fact that he was born on his country’s birthday. His mother called him special, her ‘maple’ baby and he grew up with the care of his parents supporting him. When he was fourteen, his parents gave him a computer, a laptop, to take care of his homework.
After finishing his homework, Matthew began to surf the web harmlessly. Harmlessly, of course, until he learned about the Interpol, the site that kept tabs on criminals, from the minor to the terrorists. Matthew frowned at the thought of people in danger, but what could he do? He was only fourteen, and the people who were out there hurting other people were too many…
And besides, there were so many people who thought of the same thing, to have people who might hurt others out of harm’s way, and there was nothing done…
Matthew stared at his keyboard then frowned. Although he was quiet and meek, at least online he could be able to do something, something good for once. Starting to work under his parents, he raised money for a good computer and then picked up several books on hacking under the pretense of that he was actually using them for gaming rather then for hacking government sites.
After he would hack them…after he would hack them, he would track them down with the local police force and then send them after the criminals. …At least he hoped it would be like that. Learning what he needed to learn, he took on the persona of Kumajiro, reaching out to hack into bases and track people down.
He doesn’t like to brag, but, he got pretty damn good at it too, to the point where he decided to take computer sciences as a minor in college, history as his major. Matthew had to wonder though, was there someone else out there doing the same thing as him? There were traces after all, when he went through the footsteps left behind by people. There was always someone…
Who could it be?
Matthew used his free time tracking down the rather messily path left behind for him to follow, then tracked his IP address, to one Alfred F. Jones. Huh. For a long time, he kept tabs on Alfred, clearing his paths, erasing cookies that Alfred left behind until one moment where he realized that the American FBI was closing on him.
Without thinking, he hacked into the system and cleared off the path that Alfred left behind and planted a false trail for him to follow and like that, he became friends with Alfred.
Once he graduated high school, he attended an university, moderately good when it came to rankings, majoring in history and minoring in computer science. In the midst of studying, Alfred dragged him into a role playing site…as countries? …Odd.
Oh well. He had time anyway.
Role-play Sample:
Matthew stared at his application in awe. He thought that he had been done with these sorts of things back in senior year with applying to colleges and all. And here he was, staring at another app, to join in as the Nation of Canada. Matthew took a breath then smiled to himself. This would be interesting...
"Name..." he began to mutter to himself, getting an odd look from his roommate. "Canada..."
"Hey, what are you doing?" said roommate asked as Matthew barely looked up from his screen.
"Friend of mine wants to join a site with him, so..." The Canadian boy shrugged then continued to type away at his app. "So I'm joining in. It seems interesting enough, eh?" he said as his roommate laughed, shaking his head.
"Well, you're the stereotype of a Canadian, if I ever saw one," he joked as Matthew sulked and shook his head.
"Just because I happen to major in Canadian history doesn't mean jack," he replied with a grin as his roommate laughed yet again.
"No, that just proves you're a complete and utter nerd," the roommate chided lightly as Matthew snorted then continued to hack away at the app. Thinking back on his country's history, he realized that, hey, he did actually have a lot in common with the stereotypes.
Hell, he even said 'eh' now and then! Laughing to himself, he spun on his chair then turned on his special computer, slipping through the codes and the sites. Oh. Ah. Al left behind a track again. Sighing softly, Matthew laughed and shook his head.
Al would be Al but Matthew did enjoy the fact that the two of them had some sort of same goal. Or at least, he has someone who understood what he was doing at least, and he could be a nerd with them.
It...It was nice...He smiled and tilted back in his seat.
...It was nice.
